The BTSA Induction program is a two-year program that provides focused support based upon the teacher preparation experience. Throughout the program, participants are assigned a support provider, typically from the same grade level, subject matter, and/or school site. The support provider facilitates growth in and demonstration of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP), BTSA Induction Standards, and California State Content Area Standards. The NCPDF BTSA Induction program is a consortium consisting of eleven school districts within the North County inland area and supports 85 to 130 teachers any given year. All members of the consortium are committed to supporting the delivery of quality induction and ongoing professional development activities to new teachers.
